FavouriteEight27This is one of my most recent designs and simply my favourite figure of eight digital track. It offers a fast section, a good pit lane, some technical turns and four chances to change lanes.
I'm also a fan of In/Out CLCs over XLCs so the two CLCs make great fast lane changes. Equal lane lengths of 27' 5" / 8.37m. |
Digital VecbtbI was originally inspired to work on 8'x4' designs because I saw a great analogue track on SlotForum.com by Vecbtb.
After many hours work this is my best effort at a digital version with a pit lane. You'l notice classic chicane (squeeze) pieces. These are usually avoided on digital tracks as it reduces overtaking chances, but it's key to the original design and it means you don't need borders on that elevated section. |
Portable TrackThis is a design I developed as a portable track. It's flat and relatively easier to cut a 8'x4' board in half so the track can be separated for easier storage. If you don't like the CLC it can be swapped for R2 curves with an XLC leading into them.
I've tested this layout for real and it races well. Inside lane length 28' 1" / 8.56m. |
Petits LeMans 2Based upon the Petits LeMans circuit that's available in the standard 8'x4' layouts, this version features an extra long pit lane starting just after the start / finish line.

Split26This design allows for the 8'x4' board to be easily split in the middle to create two 4'x4' boards for simpler storage. By removing the tabs in the track connectors the straight alignment of the pieces over the join make it easy to connect and disconnect the two boards.
The design also features a really long pit lane for an 8'x'4 layout. inside lane length 26' / 7.91m |
